a fairy-tale Christmas world for big and small

It all began in 2001, when Josef Gassner first leased the restaurant at Hellbrunn Palace and wanted to revive the winter season. He had the brilliant idea of opening a Christmas market in the palace courtyard - the birth of the Hellbrunn Adventzauber.

What started in 2001 with 6 wooden stalls in the courtyard of Schloss Hellbrunn is today one of the most popular Advent markets in the country with around 60 exhibitors and a unique supporting program.

Our recipe for success: Right from the start, we focused on children and families. We wanted a Christmas experience for the whole family. An advent market that inspires excitement even among the smallest visitors.

    Trick Fountains (c) Gassner Gastronomie: A fairytale-like winter evening at the trick fountains of Schloss Hellbrunn.
